Posted by Luke Fishback

DURHAM, NC – PlotWatt announced that it has been named to the 2016 cohort of Energy Excelerator, the nation’s largest and most active investor in clean-tech technologies. PlotWatt was selected from more than 200 applicants to receive up to $1M in grant funds to promote its energy-efficiency solution to small-to-medium sized businesses in Hawaii and the Asia Pacific.
“The Energy Excelerator grant opens exciting new global markets for us,” PlotWatt CEO and co-founder, Luke Fishback, said. “Perhaps most promising is that many of these regions are grappling with high energy costs, so the savings opportunity through improved efficiency is extremely compelling.” PlotWatt’s unique approach to the challenge of energy management relies on converting complex energy analytics into actionable insights that rely on simple changes to employee behavior and processes.
PlotWatt will use the grant money to offset the installation fee on up to 400 chain restaurants. “We believe the Energy Excelerator grant will help us drive an immediate, measurable impact on electricity expenses for businesses in Hawaii and the Asia Pacific,” Fishback added.
